We will be hosting a number of Brexit related events in the coming weeks.
Event: Webinar: Tuesday 19th July @ 4pm GMT – Brexit – What Could Happen to My IP Rights?
The UK’s withdrawal from the EU will have profound implications for intellectual property rights covering the UK. Particularly affected will be unitary rights that currently cover the entire EU, including EU trade marks, registered and unregistered Community designs and the (yet to be implemented) Unitary Patent. The terms on which Brexit will occur are, at this stage, not foreseeable, which creates considerable uncertainty and makes contingency planning difficult.
In this webinar, we will explain which IP rights are likely to be affected by Brexit and how, as well as suggesting practical changes that should be made now to IP filing and portfolio management strategies in order to ensure UK IP protection post-Brexit is maintained while minimising cost and inconvenience.
Event: In Person – Monday 18th July @ 3:30pm CEST – The British Chamber of Commerce SK invites you to a discussion about what Brexit means for your business featuring an opportunity to meet Baroness Neville-Rolfe DBE CMG.
Baroness Neville-Rolfe will speak about her impression on Brexit implications for trade and investment.
Event: XpertHR Webinar – Wednesday 13th July @ 2:o0pm GMT – Brexit HR implications: How to prepare.
Partner Annabel Mace will co-present at ‘What does Britain’s vote to leave the EU mean for HR?’
The precise terms of Britain’s exit from the European Union are yet to be decided, but there are practical steps that employers can take to prepare for running a business outside the EU.
Join XpertHR’s live 60-minute webinar, brought to you in association with Personnel Today, to find out what the result of the EU referendum means for HR. It will cover:
- the implications of Brexit for HR;
- the next steps in the Brexit process; and
- what you can do now to prepare for Britain’s exit from the EU.
Event: Webinar: Friday 1st July @3pm GMT – Brexit – What Now For HR and Legal?
Whatever your view of Brexit, it is not a topic you or your employees can ignore. There is much that remains unknown, but as HR and Legal you will want to give both your board and your people what guidance you can about what it means for them, personally and professionally.
